To start off class, we ID'd the Atlantic Charter:
Who/what: Roosevelt and Churchill met secretly and agreed on a joint declaration of war aims, the Atlantic Charter. Both countries Pledged collective security, disarmament, self determination, economic cooperation, and freedom of the seas.
Why important: The Atlantic Charter became the basis of "A Declaration of the United Nations". The term 'United Nations' was made by FDR to express the common goal of the Allies, those who fought for the Axis Powers.
After this, the partners were set off to organize our websites, work on our battle pages, fix the inquiry questions, etc. Everything was going smooth until Jaynie tried to add the tab for out battle pages. Our website was going wacko... The computer would freeze and then unfreeze and we would be left with 50 tabs saying "The Battle of Normandy". How crazy?!? I think there was a Weebly God that we upset somehow.
Seriously.
Anyways, we decided to leave Weebly alone (after much failure) and just organize our information in a good ol' Word document. We will transfer it later, before it's due next Friday. It's coming soon, don't worry!!
